Lake Moultrie

December 7-9, 2018

Spend the weekend camping and kayaking on beautiful Lake Moultrie. We’ll launch Friday, 12/7/18, at 9 am and paddle to the campsite a little less than 2 miles from the put in with a route never taking you into the open lake. Drop your gear and head out to explore one of Lake Moultrie’s largest wildlife management areas. Watch for white-tailed deer and bald eagles as you explore cypress bays, tupelo swamps or paddle to other islands. Or, relax at camp, catch a few bass and just hang out. Join in for the 2-3 hour naturalist guided freshwater marsh paddle Friday and Saturday. Kayak through cypress swamps and forests still showing Fall color. Each evening enjoy breathtaking sunsets, star gazing and campfire fun.  We’ll depart the island Sunday, 12/9, between 1-2 pm and return to the landing. Camping packages with and without kayaks and camping equipment available. See packages/costs below photos. Reservations required - call 843-697-2812.
